The ZOLL AED Plus incorporates real-time and accurate CPR coaching that successfully brings a victim back to life with minimal to no damage. When a patient’s heart stops beating during a sudden cardiac arrest, they require both CPR and an automated external defibrillator. Fast response (CPR) and treatment (AED) are the key to improving outcomes. This device assesses CPR performance and will either instruct the rescuer to “push harder” if necessary or reassure the rescuer that they are delivering “good compressions”.

Real-time CPR monitoring on the ZOLL AED Plus is enabled by a one-piece electrode that is placed in the middle of the chest and converts chest compression data into audio and visual feedback. This helps ensure effective CPR delivery from either a trained responder or public bystander. And since every second counts during an emergency, the AED is bright green, making it easy to identify when the time comes.

All AEDs require regular maintenance and management to ensure they will perform during an emergency. Both the electrode and batteries have a five-year lifespan, and this information should be tracked by someone in your organization to make sure both items are replaced when needed.
