Become a CPR Instructor!

Check out our CLASS SCHEDULE for the next CPR INSTRUCTOR course!

Our 3-step process authorizes you to become a certified CPR instructor through the American Heart Association.

Step 1:

Take the online BLS Instructor Essentials course prior to the in-person training. BLS Instructor Essentials Online is the self-directed, online portion of the BLS Instructor Essentials blended learning course. Course content covers steps for becoming an AHA Instructor and steps of the instruction cycle: Prepare, Teach, Test & Remediate, Close, and Keep Current.

Est. Time to Complete: 1-2 hours

Step 2:

The American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course certifies the participant to teach the BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Course, renewal course, and BLS Skill Sessions.  In addition, instructors may teach all the AHA Heartsaver programs including: adult CPR, child CPR, infant CPR, AED use, first aid, pediatric CPR/first aid, and bloodborne pathogens.  BLS Instructor certification is valid for a period of two (2) years.

The classroom portion covers American Heart Association procedures, course guidelines and agendas, instructor challenges, classroom set-up, learning theory, administrative support, and instructor-candidate teaching demonstrations.

Course Duration: 6 hours

Step 3:

The final step is to be monitored by 360 CPR staff of you doing your own CPR course. We highly recommend that this course be a private, one-on-one class with someone you know (spouse, family member, friend, etc.). This reduces the amount of stress and is a great time to ask questions.

You must be monitored within 3 months following the in-person course. The monitoring session encompasses the length of the class, which is typically 2-3 hours.

Course price includes the pre-course Online Essentials course, the BLS Instructor Classroom course as well as monitoring of your first class as required by the AHA.  Lunch during your class is also included in this price.

NOTE:  Students must hold a current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association to be eligible to take this course.  Proof of the certification should be emailed to info@360cprtraining.com  Please call 978-639-4656 with any questions.   The course fee does NOT include materials needed to teach your first class (BLS Provider DVD, manikins, AED trainers, BVMs, and associated student supplies).  You may choose to purchase these supplies from us for an additional fee.
